Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to the personal details you send us through the contact form on this website.
Who is responsible for your data
The Chertsey Agricultural Association runs The Chertsey Show. It is responsible for the personal data collected through the contact form on this website.
What the contact form collects
When you send a message through the contact form, the website collects:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give one
- the subject of your message
- the section of the show you chose
- the message you type
- the result of a Cloudflare Turnstile security check
The service that receives your message also records your IP address, your browser details (the user agent), the page you sent the form from, and whether the message was sent successfully. Messages that fail the security check or are marked as spam are recorded in the same way. The website itself collects nothing else. Its own code stores nothing in your browser; the Turnstile security check keeps a small value in your browser's storage to run the check.
Why we use it
We use these details to answer your enquiry and to pass it to the right section of the show.
Who handles your data
- Lagden Forms, run by Lagden Ltd, which builds this website, stores each enquiry and emails it to the show.
- Resend sends those emails.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, protects the form service and runs the Turnstile security check, which uses the security token, your IP address and details of your browser and device.
- The form service runs on a server from Netcup. Its encrypted backups are kept by Hetzner in Helsinki.
- Replies to your enquiry come from the show's own email.
Your enquiry goes to the show's office address by default. If you choose a section, it goes to that section's address at thechertseyshow.co.uk, with a copy to the office. If that section has no address of its own, it goes to the office. Your email address is set as the reply-to address so the show can answer you.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies for tracking or analytics.
The map on the home page loads from OpenStreetMap, whose servers receive your IP address when the map is shown.
The contact form's page-view counting is switched off.
How long we keep your enquiry
Lagden Forms deletes each enquiry, and the notification email it stored, automatically after 90 days. Encrypted backups keep a copy for up to 89 days after that. A copy cannot be removed from a backup early. It is deleted when the backup expires.
Copies of your enquiry in the Association's email system may be kept for as long as they are needed.
Asking for a copy or for deletion
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it.
If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we can delete it from Lagden Forms. That does not reach the encrypted backups, which keep a copy until they expire, up to 89 days. It also does not reach the email provider's copy or the copies already in the show's mailboxes.
Email the show's office at [email protected].
